Client: IMDA - Singapore Media Festival

You’ve probably heard of Singapore Comic Con. Maybe even Singapore International Film Festival. But did you know they’re actually part of something bigger?

So in 2023, we unveiled that Singapore Media Festival is where films, culture, content, and pop culture is made. “Make it here” became our red carpet invitation. For the public to discover what’s brewing and for creators around the world to make their content here in Singapore.


Notes:
Singapore Media Festival is all about giving creators the perfect canvas. So we built a modular typeface from scratch—one that bends, stretches, and shapeshifts across every screen and stage, just like the stories it helps tell.

I think it’s telling of the trust we’ve built with the client when they handed SMF into our hands for the follow-up year.

Now in its 11th year, Singapore Media Festival is turning the dial towards B2B. So, it made sense to give the brand a little refresh. The new logo takes the spotlight this time, while our ‘Make it here’ message from last year plays the cool, confident sidekick. 

So we lay down the red carpet and invited people to step into this new world of SMF.


Notes:
The new Singapore Media Festival logo embraces what people already call it—SMF. The letterforms have been reimagined as a portal, offering a glimpse behind the curtain into the magic of stories waiting to be discovered.
